Chair: Dr Sara Ritchie
Sara graduated in Edinburgh in 1993 and have been working as a GP in London since 2003. She has a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and an MSc in Public Health, and has also spent time working abroad in Australia and India, and with the WHO in Nepal. Sara completed her Diploma in Clinical Dermatology in London in 2008, and then spent 5 years working as a hospital clinical assistant in dermatology in central London.
Combining her skills in tropical medicine and dermatology, she spent 3 of these years working in a tertiary travel and tropical dermatology clinic, and during this time contributed to 4 book chapters on travel and tropical dermatology, including updating the dermatology chapter in the most recent edition of Manson’s Tropical Medicine. She has also published articles on dermatology in Pulse, and published review articles on Lyme disease and HIV dermatology. Since 2017 she has also been on the committee of the Primary Care Dermatology Society and is the current editor of the quarterly PCDS bulletin. She now splits her time between two different services, working in general practice and also as a GPwER in dermatology.
